Managing the society in terms of the rules is quite difficult to do when we have 100 members on average playing each event so we do rely heavily on our members to report any infractions to the society president so that we can make sure that the integrity of each tournament and the overall society remains intact.
Rules:
1. No chipping on greens will be accepted unless in the circumstances listed below:
- Horseshoe green places rough or fairway between your ball and the hole
- You are on the green but are 100feet or more away from the hole
- If you are faced with a severe slope in front of you that a full swing with your putter will not get over. You must at least attempt this putt to show evidence that a full swing will not allow you to get over the hill.
2. All club types are accepted
3. Any suspicious activity regarding swings must be reported o the society president in order to be investigated, this includes multiple perfect swings with Tour clubs. We have a threshold in place that will allow for a small number of perfect swings, anything beyond that is prohibited.
4. There is to be no accusations or derogatory comments towards any other members who you may believe is cheating or has broken a rule. If you have a suspicion regarding a rule being broken it must be brought to the attention of the society president for investigation.
5. We have handicap events 1 tournament in every 4 events which is a great method for us to balance out the society and give everyone an opportunity to be near the top of the leaderboard. With these events we will be monitoring scores to ensure that there is no form of "handicap shaving" occurring where players will attempt to higher their handicap in a bid to win more tournaments. That type of play is not acceptable with the society
Penalties for infractions:
1st offence - Warning
2nd offence - 3 Tournament Ban
3rd offence - Season Ban
4th offence - Full Ban
